SERVING OTHERS - UNLEASHING LOVE
North Carolina Yearly Meeting has accepted the responsibility for the mission at the Mowa Choctaw Friends Center in Mcintosh, Alabama. They have a staff made up of young interns from their Yearly Meeting under the direction of Darrin Allen-Director of Young Friends Programs of NCYM. They are conducting work camps there this summer for Young Friends from across the United States. Would you like to be a member of a team that visits the center and gets to interact with youth from other Yearly Meetings? You can do this while learning more about the Native American culture, sharing the living Christ and putting your faith into action by helping with some rebuilding in the area.

Jack Kessler –pastor at Jamestown Friends would like to take a team of Young Friends from Wilmington Yearly Meeting to the center the week of July 21-27. You would leave Ohio in time to arrive at Mcintosh by 6:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 21st. Your week would consist of work at the Quaker Center-ex replacing roofs, fixing windows, repairing gutters, and helping in the local community. You would also get an opportunity to visit some of the local areas of interest.

If you are interested in a trip like this, please contact Jack at 937-937-3944(home) or at Jamestown Friends Church 937-675-2491. If more than one car load goes, Jack would need another driver.

YOU KNOW THE SAYING, “FOUR MONTHS BETWEEN PLANTING AND HARVEST”. I SAY, “WAKE UP AND LOOK AROUND.” “THE FIELDS ARE RIPE FOR THE HARVEST.”
